AUS Food Hub Initiative

The Arts Undergraduate Society (AUS) Food Hub Initiative is a series of programs and initiatives that seeks to create an accessible program that fosters social connections, promotes campus food security, and creates a holistic support network for all Arts community members. The Food Hub will support a collective effort to improve community health and student well-being on the UBC campus and beyond.

Our projects include:
  • AUS Community Pantry (Take 3 food items from the Arts Student Centre kitchen area every week) 🥫
  • AUS Collaborative Community Meals (Organize Community Meals with the AUS with club benefits) 🤝
  • Study Snacks (Free snacks for students at the Arts Student Centre) 🍪

AUS Community Pantry 💜

The AUS Community Pantry is part of the AUS Food Hub Initiative that aims to provide free canned goods and food items to the UBC community. 🍜🍲

Anyone can come to the Arts Student Centre's second-floor kitchen to take up to 3 items from our pantry, which is stocked and refilled every week.

Feel free to suggest items for our pantry through the anonymous AUS Feedback Survey linked below! Check the pantry's refill schedule in the Calendar below as well, which is updated every term! 🗓🧑🏻‍💻

Pantry Inventory 🥫

You can check what we've stocked for our Community Pantry! We will update our Pantry Inventory with the list of items that will be available for each restock cycle 1-3 days beforehand. ✨

We would like to invite student clubs on campus to collaborate with us in organizing Community Meal events for students every month 🍳🍴

Events can be free community meals for students, cooking or baking workshops, food fairs, free food giveaways, and more! 🍝🥗

Benefits include funding, prioritized booking for Community Meals at the Arts Student Centre, no damage deposit requirement for bookings, and event support from our Food Hub Team! 💵✨

For more information, including requirements and the process for collaboration, check out the Info Package!
